If you have a horse lover in your house and are planning a horse themed birthday party, or if you are celebrating a horse race of having a end of year horse riding school party, then horse party food ideas will be right up there on the must have list. So we thought we would share a fun idea that you can leave the kids to make. We got the concept from an American Kentucky Derby party idea, but have improvised to use items we could find our Aussie supermarkets.

Chocolate Horse Heads

What we used:

  • TimTam’s
  • Sour strips
  • Mini marsh mellows
  • Large white button drops
  • Fudge
  • Icing pen

These are ideal as you can leave the kids to make them, but we will guarantee you will want to make one or two yourself. If you have other horse party food ideas let us know we love to hear them.

Use your icing pen to add some icing to the back of the white choclate drop
